About LATAM Peru

LATAM Airlines Perú (IATA: LP), formerly LAN Perú, is Peru's dominant full-service carrier and flag airline, operating since 1999 from its main hub at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima. As a key subsidiary of the LATAM Airlines Group (with 49% ownership), it commands approximately 73% of the domestic Peruvian market and serves over 50 destinations across South America, North America, and Europe.

Established in 1998 through a partnership involving LAN Chile, the airline began operations with domestic routes to Cusco and Arequipa before expanding internationally to Miami. It rebranded fully to LATAM in 2016 following the LAN-TAM merger. The carrier offers a mix of short-haul narrowbody flights on Airbus A319/A320 family aircraft and long-haul services with Boeing 767-300ER and 787-9 widebodies.

Known for strong regional connectivity, reliable operations, and a focus on passenger experience in Latin America, LATAM Perú stands out for its extensive domestic network serving remote Peruvian regions alongside key international gateways. It participates in the LATAM Pass loyalty program and emphasizes safety and modern fleet standards as part of the broader LATAM Group, which holds a 4-Star Skytrax rating.
