One Jet

OneJet (IATA: J1) was a short-lived American virtual airline founded in 2009 as PrimAir and rebranded in 2014. It commenced operations in April 2015, offering scheduled point-to-point flights using small business jets and regional aircraft under public charter arrangements. Based initially in Indianapolis and later focusing on Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), it served routes across the Midwest and Northeast US with aircraft operated by partners like Pentastar Aviation and Corporate Flight Management. The airline emphasized convenient terminal access rather than FBO facilities and planned expansions including Cessna Citation CJ4 jets. Operations were suspended in August 2018 amid financial difficulties and a failed acquisition; the carrier never resumed flights and is now defunct. OneJet stood out for its niche approach to semi-private scheduled jet travel but faced challenges with reliability and scale.
